About Darryl

Darryl Strawberry played 17 years of Major League Baseball. Throughout the 1980s and early 1990s, Strawberry was one of the most feared sluggers in the sport. During his career, he helped lead the New York Mets to a World Series Championship in 1986 and the New York Yankees to three World Series Championships in 1996, 1998 and 1999. Strawberry was voted to the All-Star Game eight straight times from 1985-1991. He was inducted into the Mets Hall of Fame in 2010.

Founder of the Darryl Strawberry Recovery Center, today his purpose and passion is serving the Lord Jesus Christ by speaking a message of hope and helping others transform their lives through the power of the gospel. Darryl travels the country speaking and bringing a message of hope and restoration in Christ. Darryl is described as a legend by many who have been dazzled by the dynamics of his game, the power he possessed at the plate and the story of redemption that continues to bring hope to so many lives.
