HungerSWAT is a coalition of organizations in Jacksonville, Fla. to increase awareness about the growing issue of hunger in our community. Some facts:

- One out of eight people in Jacksonville is hungry.

- One out of six children in Jacksonville is hungry, and Duval County Schools offers free or reduced lunch to over 50 percent of its students.

- More and more people are seeking help to feed their families because of the poor economy.
