The supportive relationships I have developed in my time at City Rescue Mission have shown me I’m not alone and that everyone has a storm they are working their way through.

I came to City Rescue Mission at a point of desperation. I was angry and felt like I was stuck living a life with no hope. I found love, compassion and grace here at CRM. I came to know a true & living God here and truly feel as though City Rescue Mission loved me back to health.

My life was in a total mess. Drugs and sin caused me to lose everything: jobs and family relationships. I’m now employed in construction. God has changed my life more than I could’ve ever imagined.

I came to City Rescue Mission in 2016 and the staff immediately embraced me and showed me genuine and unconditional love. Thanks to Christ and my CRM family I have a feeling of being refreshed and brand new.

This program has taught me how to be more responsible, how to read and write, and how to become a man.

Through City Rescue Mission I realized I could have my own identity. I came to know and understand God here. I will always carry with me the mind, body and spirit structure that I learned in the LifeBuilders Program.

Working at the New Life Inn and seeing the people when they first come in from the streets then going to a LifeBuilders graduation and seeing the amazing transformation is what makes volunteering all worth it.

My wife was a huge advocate for the homeless. When she passed away, I initially started giving to CRM as a memorial to her as my inspiration, but now I’m inspired by the people at CRM–the people who work there, and especially those who receive help.

Flightstar, its business associates and our loyal contributing customers are proud and honored to be a part of the CRM Golf Tournament for a truly worthy and meaningful cause. As we provide employment opportunities for our own ‘family’ of employees, we have a real sense of community obligation to help those less fortunate. To contribute and be a part of the City Rescue Mission success story here in Jacksonville is both fulfilling and very gratifying.
