When I first came here to CRM, I couldn’t stand the strict rules, daily schedules and scheduled lunches. I thought to myself “this place isn’t going to help with my drug addictions, all they teach here is God, God, God. It will just kill me if I have to stay here for 3 months, let alone 1½ years!”
I was right! It did kill me…the old, pitiful me, now I’m being formed into a new person. A person with boundaries, morals, lots of love to give, unselfishness, self-discipline, friends (real friends) and best of all, God, God and God!
CRM’s staff is awesome, they line up activities such as beach parties, sleepovers, trips to the zoo and all kinds of stuff that teach us how to have fun without doing drugs.
CRM teaches us to put God first and everything in life will work out. It may not always work out the way you want it but the way God wants it, which will always be better than any plan that we can make for ourselves.
CRM is considered my family, I love everyone here, and now I think that when I hit my 1½ year mark they may have to kick me out because I don’t think I’ll want to leave. Thanks CRM!
